Pioneer DVD burner won't burn on G4 Mirror desktop

We have a mirror-front G4 PPC Mac running OSX 10.4.11

We recently installed a Pioneer DVR-115D dvd burner. However, the Mac will not burn either CDs or DVDs!

It can read them, but not burn them.
