Question
date and time reset on powerbook g4
This PowerBook g4 mac laptop seems to be having an issue resetting its date and time to 1969. I know on a pc I would change the cmos battery to fix this problem. Is this the same way to fix this mac laptop? Im running mac os 10.4.11 . thanks.

Yes, similar.
What you need to replace is the PRAM/Clock battery. You can google it to find prices. Since it's a laptop, you might want to consider taking it to an authorized repair tech to have it put in. Not necessarily easy for a user to access on those model laptops.
