Question
macbook pro has slow connection with win 2003 server
I have a macbook pro that saves files very slowly to a DELL poweredge windows 2003 server. The MS WORD application on the macbook pro will stop responding during the save process and I have to use ctl+option+esc to force quit. Sometimes the save will go thru after a long while. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to improve the performance of the connection between the win2003 server and the macbook pro.

This is usually a problem with mismatched speeds between your switch and the Mac. Are both set to autonegotiate? Also double check to make sure you do not have a faulty ethernet cable.
