Macbook not printing correctly after installing new toner

I purchased a new toner for my HP P1005 Laserjet and now it prints pages stretched and truncated. Not all the words are printed as if can't fit to page and the actual words are stretched out. I have plugged printer into another desktop Mac and all prints fine from there. I have also checked page setup and nothing seems out of order there. Any ideas?

Did you using HP or standart driver? I had same problme with my oki i instal driver form oki and it prints horible i setup a standart one witch is in mac os and its woking fine and printing well.

What application are you printing from?  Have you tried multiple applications?

If its just one application then it may be you have something set to stretch to fit in the print dialog window.

If its all applications then it sounds like your print driver could be corrupt for that printer.

Do you have correct drivers for the printer that you can reinstall?  or maybe download from hp website an updated driver and see if this fixes the issue.

Check the print dialog first though to make sure there is not an illusive check box checked.

It happens in all applications. I have removed and downloaded the latest driver and still the same. Have also checked print dialogue for errors also.

Did you also try the standart universal driver witch is includet in mac?

Have you tested the problem macintosh on an alternate printer?  Do you have the facility to do this?

Fixed. Removed all software related to the printer and re-installed driver downloaded from HP website. All working good now. Thanks to all.
