mac-pc and binhex
I finally found a reason to revive my old dusted se30, teh wonderfull program xlispstat! oops - one problem, the mac version cpmes binhexed, and my unstuffit (3.5, I think)
doesnt understand it. In reality, there are multiple
questions:
1) my internet connection is via my pc, how should I transfer the files from the pc to mac without damaging
them? (transfering by diskette, of course, is easy, the
Q really is if this might do some damage, and if so, what
to do for a safe transfer)
2) where to find a debinhexer which is NOT binhexed!
Everything I found is binhexed, so it isnt terribly usefull (and yes, I asked local mac people, but nobody
seems to have something I can use)
3) I just downloaded winzip 6.2 for windows 95, which say
to understand binhex, but doesnt recognize my files either.
What can I do to get out of this mess, and finally get
done some usefull stuff?

Than for the answer, but I tried shareware.com, and cant
really fine an unbinhexed binhex. Can you provide a
file name?

There are loads of places you can aquire Binhex not binhexed, a quick mod place is Shareware.com where you can aquire a mac and a PC version, transferring on disk should cause no problems at all, the only other way would be to use a scsi device like a Zip drive if you've got scsi on yer PC.
