The Solution Rating System

Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. How do I transfer data or clone my hard drive?

I have a new hard drive (old one is ready to fail) exactly the same as the one in my Imac. it is a maxator 250 GB. How can I take the data off my old hard drive and transfer it to the new one? I have an ATA serial cable hooked up. I have clonezilla disk but the computer will not boot to it. The old drive still boots and I have also tried the restore feature from disk manager. nothing has worked so far.Start Free Trial
