nope... the mac depicted has the vertical stack of connectors...

imac G5 1.9 ghz disassembly question
Greetings:
Trying to do a hard drive swap on an iMac from 2005... imac G5 1.9 ghz... USB, firewire, ethernet are arrayed horizontally near the bottom of the back panel... apparently it's quite a different process for disassembly than the iMacs with the vertical stack of connections.
I succeeded in removing the front monitor bezel so far... it's not obvious to me how to remove the rear cover and gain access to the system board and hard drive.

Everything that I found for a 2005 G5 imac had the ports arranged along the sides in a Vertical stack. I did find the manual below for an early 2006. It appears that this has the ports arranged horizontally and it appears that entry to the iMac is through the front as you have apparently already started to do. Look through this and see if it gives you any help. I do believe this is considered major surgery and would probably invalidate your warranty... but with the age of the Mac, that's probably not an issue. It's for a 2006... Intel iMac I believe, but it may have tips that are helpful.
