MacBook Pro Booting from a CD / DVD

Tags: Leopard Boot Booting Apple MacBook disk

I am having problems to boot from any (!!) disk.  I tried to boot from the Leopard DVD and from the iPartition / iDefrag disk, but it does not work.  If I press the option key (by restarting) I get the three option (how it should be): macintosh, windows, disk.  But when I chose disk the machine just shuts down and reboots - over and over again.  I tried booing from the disk pressing the C key as well (same result). I did a hardware check (D-Key) - everything ok.

Any suggestion? Thank you guys in advance.
