CD/DVD Tray Stuck

Hi,
I have tried ALL suggestions from Apple and other forum discussions to get my CD Tray to open (including the manual eject using the pin in the hole), but nothing works.  It makes a click as if it is trying to open but it doesn't.  so it's not that it doesn't respond, it just seems "stuck".

Is there anything i can do manually to avoid having to take it in for "repair"?
