Anyone done live video streaming using Apple server?

looking to set-up an Apple server to stream LIVE video on an internal network. We know the software for the streaming is part of OS X server (we have 10.5 and 10.6). What we're having trouble with is the input (capture) of the live stream. We have both SDI and analog video. Naturally, the live stream includes audio. We are currently planning to use an Apple 1U server for this, which has 2 internal PCI ports available.
