ipod 80gb 3 generation

When I connect my ipod to my pc I get a message that my ipod is corupted.
I have tried the following without success.
I have restored my ipod several times, and I have disconnected and reconnected it to my pc.
I have restarted my pc and reconnected my ipod and restored it.
I have deleted all my videos and music, restored my ipod, disconnected and reconnected it.
I have connected it to another pc and the message is the same ipod corrupted.
What do I need to do to get my ipod working again?

Are you the original owner of this iPod or did you buy it from someone else? Sounds as though the Drive inside the unit is starting to go on you. Recommend going to your nearest Apple Store if you bought the unit from Apple or a Certified Retailer. If that's not the option, would start google searching for ways to replace the drive inside (Dont know if it's possible, but heck, what isn't possible these days?)

Thanks for the advice dstark30 I am the Owner from new it just started to give problems during the last week and I have been trying since then to sort the problem with responses from the apple web - failure to date

Not a problem, I enjoying trying to help where I can. From experience, going down to the Apple Store itself is the best option when you can not resolve the problem. Often, they will replace your unit right there on the spot. Give em a shot.

You ca try some tests that are built in the  iPod
http://www.tongfamily.com/apple/ipod/ipod_diagnostics_and.php
That will tell you the health of the iPod, also you can connet it as a hard disk and do a check from windows

There is a Diagnostics mode on 3rd gen's as well, but please note that some of the options listed in xema's link are not available in 3rd gen and before.
