Something's wrong with the iPod.
Do a Menu+Play reset (press those buttons for 6 seconds until you get the Apple sign)
On the Apple sign, press the REW, FF, Menu and "Action" (the center) buttons. You'll see a spinning CD with a magnifying glass. If something is wrong you'll get the Sad iPod sign. If everything is OK, you'll get a checkmark on a disk. But, it the iPod found some errors, you will get a disk with an arrow beside it.
If you get the Sad iPod sign, you need to send it for repair. If you get the checkmark, everything's OK. If you get the disk with an arrow, do a restore.

It would depend on the specific tracks. I would try resetting the ipod and and reloading the library. If that does not work then i would assume the issue is with the orginal tracks that are being copied to the ipod. What format are you using for the music?
