Move Itunes playlist/songs from Ipod to new Windows XP box

I would like to move my Itunes playlists from one computer to another.  Unfortunately, my old computer hard disk crashed, so I can't export my old songs and playlists.  Is there a way to move my playlists from my Ipod to my new computer's ITunes.

I've been able to move my Purchased songs to my new Itunes based on authorizing my new computer as my 2nd computer for my purchases, but I would like to move all my playlists and songs from my Ipod to my new computer/Itunes.

I'm using Windows XP Home Edition and the latest Itunes.  I also have a recently purchased 30Gb IPod that was synced up to my old computer before it crashed and burned.

Here is a comment I got from email support from Apple that is not encouraging.
Anyone know a way around this?

From Apple email support:

You will only be able to transfer your iTunes Store purchases from your iPod to your computer. Unfortunately, transferring playlists and media not purchased from the iTunes Store is not supported. This article shows you how to transfer your purchases...

It's the answer you're looking for using some software named IPodCopy

I'm still working on implementing the Expert's question.  I went on vacation (yeah!) and I'm now back and working on it again.  As soon as I get it working correctly I will come back and award points or ask follow-up questions.

xema - great help!  I was finally able to get the time to implement this solution, and it worked well.
Here is what I did -
1. I wanted to get all the playlist information off of my IPOD, so I needed to use a software solution.
2. I bought the software CopyTrans (Music only!) from www.copytrans.net for USD $19.90
3. The software installed easily, and I followed their instructions and hooked up my IPOD.
4. The first time through the import process, it imported about 850 of my 1180 songs off of my IPOD.
5. I restarted the CopyTrans program, and ran the installation process again, and CopyTrans grabbed the remaining songs, now getting all 1180 songs.
6. After it got all the songs, I clicked one button, and it added all the songs to my ITunes installation on my new computer automatically.

I would recommend this software for when your hard drive crashes, and you need to resurrect your IPOD library that includes songs that you did not buy off of ITunes, and to get your playlists.

The time that I spent importing all those songs and setting up the playlists made the USD $19.90 purchase very easy for me to make.
