How to reclaim music from iPod?

I have an old iPod Shuffle. I installed iTunes on a desktop and managed my music from that desktop. I want to use a different machine to manage the iPod from but when I plug it into the new PC with iTunes installed, it says the iPod will be erased if I want the new PC to manage the iPod.

I don't have copies of the music that's currently on the iPod and don't want to erase the iPod. Can I somehow reclaim the music off the iPod before I have it erased by iTunes, the put it back?
