The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. Multiple problems connecting USB devices

Hi. A few months ago I installed a file conversion programme to be able to record music and video. It seemed to set up a "virtual" cd drive. It was all a nightmare and I removed it. Unfortunately I dont remember the name but would if someone said it..........sorry!
Today I tried for the first time since removing the programme, to record a cd in Media Player. It says "Connect a burner and restart the player", each time I put files in to burn. I tried with Nero and it worked no problem. Also have a problem that every time I start Windows, the found new hardware wizard starts for the same cd/dvd drive. Have tried to remedy his on here without much success. If I just ignore it or cancel it the player will play no problem. There are no yellow exclamation marks in the device driver. Have tried to re install it on the wizard but it says it cant find the necessary files.
When I plug in an Ipod  i get the code 28 message and a yellow exclamation mark. Have tried reinstalling and uninstalling, just says it has no driver. Have also downloaded the latest software from apple.
Also, have recently purchased a generic 4 way usb hub, again it says it cant find the drivers.
Have posted these seperately over time on here, but only just put them all together
