I've got an iPhone which has photos on it that I would like to recovery. The problem is that the phone is in recovery mode and when I connect it to my computer with iTunes installed it says it has to restore it in order for the phone to work again. Obviously restoring the phone will erase anything that is current on it. I've also tried connecting it to a computer that doesn't have iTunes install on it but I am asked for drivers which I don't have. I am familiar with data recovery programs such as OnTrack, ActiveUndelete etc and was thinking I might be able to recover using one of these application but I have to be able to get the computer to see the phone even as just a USB drive before I can attempt this. Any idea?
