Browse All TopicsI have just downloaded the new firmware 2.0 for Apple's IPhone. However after it finished installing it, everything on the phone was deleted. I have lost over 800 personal photos. Is there a way of using some kind of data recovery software to retreive the photos via windows xp. Apperently a forensic expert confirmed that the phone only does a soft format and was able to retrieve personal info of a previous owners Iphone. He didn't disclose the software but there must be away commercially to do this. Please help

The problem is that these tools don't see the iphone. I does show a camera and scanner folder under my computer but the discovery tools don't see that. I'm not sure I have the skills to attempt installing a third party ap on the phone to create a network share. If anybody has any detailed steps I would gladly follow them.
I lost 1500+ photos on my iPhone, which had not been synced or backed up. I was attempting to upgrade the software to the original iPhone, and after less than a minute, my iPhone showed a screen with a yellow triangle enclosing an exclamation point, and asked me to connect to iTunes. ITunes offered me the single option of restoring, which it said would erase all my data. I did NOT restore. So, can I retrieve my photos in any way? These are incredibly important to me and I don't care if I lose the iPhone. I just want the photos. One company claimed they've retrieved photos from the "motherboard" (would this be the flash drive) of an iPhone. I don't really understand what has happened and how it could have happened so easily. I was told by ATT that upgrading would not cause data loss, and I was NOT prompted with a backup option before upgrading. I was using a Windows computer. I'm desperate to retrieve these photos.

something like runtime.orgs getbackdata may work you try it for free then pay if you want to actually recover the files.
