How can i set up an iPhone to get Cox E-mail?

I am trying to set up my CEO's phone to get his Cox Communications E-mail via his iPhone. I have tried using settings i found on the internet with no luck. We live in Oklahoma.

Also, i have tried setting up gmail as a sort of pass-through for the mail. The problem i run into there is that i am getting the mail but when i reply it is showing the gmail e-mail and not the cox.net e-mail.

I found this page yesterday and this is the part i am having trouble with. I am about to get the mail to show up as from the cox.net e-mail, however when sending e-mail from the account it comes from the gmail account. I believe the issue is that on the iPhone there is no option to set the reply e-mail as the cox.net e-mail. Thank you for the speedy response and thank you in advance for any further information.

You can get cox email if they support IMAP or POP3 aswell. If so get the connection information from cox and set it up manually on the iPhone. Note: iPhone will take a LONG time to verify, and you have to hit no to ssl connection TWICE.

Once you have multiple mail accounts, you can set the iPhone up on which account you wish to send emails on.

Setup the cox email on iphone so it will only send and receive via the cox account.

below are the server settings usually for cox account
but just call their support line to get the correct one.

Sometimes we get that it cannot connect to the smtp server, other ways we don't get anything. Someone told me that you can only do it on Cox networks. We are on AT&T here. We have set up a gmail account as a band aid for the process but it would be much better if we could get it to work without something like that.

Then you really need to contact cox support team to get the details of the server settings especially when you are using another ISP outside the cox network.  Other networks like Time Warner, Comcast, etc.  needs to check my server requires authentication on server server settings in order for the device to connect from another provider.  Or you may wanna try to use the POP settings of Cox network while using AT&T's SMTP settings for both to work out.

If you didnt get an error message, that means you most likely didnt wait long enough, it looks like its not doing anything but >> it just takes a really long time. <<
