Can I select which Outlook contacts get synced with my Iphone? I have hundreds of contacts in Outlook - only a small portion are people who I might want to phone. Many don't even have the phone # stored in outlook, just various personal information. When I sync with my IPhone all of them come across. This takes a long time and navigating through the list on the IPhone takes forever.
Is there a way to tell IPhone or ITunes or Outlook that I only want to select certain contacts?
On my Blackberry, the sync manager let me select Outlook contacts by category. That was a piece of cake. ITunes should only be so simple.

Yeah I tried this myself. I see what you mean, when Outlook is checked, you cannot select the "Selected groups" option. With this being the only clean way to do this (becides maybe 3rd party apps I am unaware of). I would suggest this option:
1. IMPORTANT: In Outlook, go to contacts, the File > Inport and Export, then follow the prompts to export your contacts.
2. Select with contacts holding shift to select multiple contacts you do not want in your phone, and delete them.
3. Sync contacts with iPhone and go into the info tab after and uncheck sync contacts with Outlook.
4. Import your contacts back into Outlook.

Open iTunes
Click your iPhone under DEVICES (left panel)
Click the Info tab (top)
Sync contacts with: Outlook
Selected Groups:
Check Groups (Create groups in Outlook if you havent already)
