The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. iPhone stopped sync ing

We have SBS 2003 running Exchange.  We have two users who use iPhones and have been able to sync just fine for several months.  Push technology worked great.  Now, they have stopped syncing.  The email messages show up until 3:30 pm last Friday.  After that there are no new email.  Emails are being received and sent by the Exchange server - and if you send an email from the iPhone it is actually sent, although it does not show up in Sent items on the iphone, but it does in Outlook and Outlook Web Access.  We use RPC over HTTPs and OWA - all working fine.

Two weeks ago we changed our antivirus from Trend Micro to Sophos.  Then a week and a half ago we changed our internal IP address scheme.  (We had 192.9.200.x which has been working fine for some time, but technically is not a private address and we're planning to move into an MPLS network, so we decided to change to the standard 192.168...)  The IP address change was finished two days before the iPhones had their problems.  The only thing I was doing that day on the server was working with online backup of the Exchange database - tweaked antivirus to allow for backup, but have since set it back to default.

I was getting Event ID 3033 and used the article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/905013 to set the Min and Max hearbeat intervals to 58 and 59 minutes respectively.  The errors have gone away, but still have the problem.  I've turned off wifi on the phone for now avoid DNS problems mentioned in http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1868.

I did have HTTP headers in the default web server - should those be taken out?  (I'm not really strong on the IIS side).  Any ideas on where to look to get these iPhone to start syncing back up?
