Typically, Mac OS has a hard time searching for windows machines on the network. the above (direct IP access) should work fine.
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI need to connect a Macbook Pro (Mac OS X 10.4.9) to a Windows 2003 PPTP VPN. The VPN connects fine but when I go to the network on the Mac I cannot see any of the computers on the network. When this same computer is directly connected to the LAN it works fine. I can browse out and see all the computers on the network.
I am very new to Macs (I am a windows guy) so I am not really sure where to begin with the troubleshooting.
Any help would be great.
Thanks!

Can you see the machines if you connect to them via IP address? Go to
Go-->Connect to Server
and then put in
smb://192.168.1.10
(or equivalent IP address)
Cheers,
