Mac OSX 10.4.11 machine can't browse network since OS upgrade

Tags: network, browse, mac, os
Since we upgraded the OS's of our Macs here at work, one of them is no longer able to browse the network.

When you click Go->Connect to Server->Browse, network is listed but clicking on it results in nothing loading to view.

When you click G0->Connect to Server, and type in a server address as eiter afp://serverip or smb://serverip they are able to see that server then, but it still doesn't show up the next time you go to Go->Connect to Server->Browse. So this user is constantly having to connect to the server, provide credentials etc. whenever they need to save or get something from the network.

I have no idea what the problem could be. All the machines are the same model and were purchased at the same time and none of them had any issues until this upgrade. I was hoping someone has run into this before or at least something similar and has some ideas as to how to fix this.

The network is a windows run network with Windows 2003 small business server, and a couple windows 2003 server R2.

Thanks!
