Shared folders in Winodws Server for Macintosh

Asked by Zaurb in Active Directory, Apple Networking, Appletalk

I'm moving a file server from one Windows Server to another. When I go to My computer->Manage->Shared Folders-> Shares I see a share names and several folders here have an icon which is different from others. Also, it's written Macintosh in the type column. My new file server has Appletalk enabled, but what are these icons? And how do I make such shares? By the way, such shares are only seen in this console, when I go to Windows Explorer the folder is not shared... Pls, see attached image. Also, when I try to rename old shared root folder, even if sharing is disabled, I can't do that. File unlocker opens a window which shows that there are Network Trash Bin folders. What is all this about?
