Adding iMAC on to AD domain

I'm trying to add an iMAC on to Windows 2000 AD. I use Directory Utility on iMAC with  OS 10.5.7, fully qualified domain name and domainname\username  administrator account. I keep getting message saying:  AN unexpected error of type -14177 eDSAuthMasterUnreachable.
