Accessing Windows shares from iMac

I've been all around the net on the one, with no luck.

I have a PC in my house with Windows XP on it.  I'm wanting to use it as a basic file server, so I put two 300GB drives in and set them on RAID mirroring.  I partitioned them in half and set up a share on each partitioned drive (one for me, one for my girlfriend).  I want to password protect them using NTFS permissions, but we aren't there yet...

From my iMac (or her MacBook), we can see the PC as a Shared resource.  Double clicking the PC brings up a window showing the two shares (J and Z), and at the top it says "Connected as: Guest." If I try to open either share I'm prompted for a username and password.  I put in my PC's administrator credentials... and I return to the window showing the two shares, and it says Connected as Guest.

There's no chance I'm typing the wrong thing, I've verified and re-verified.

I've set my iMac workgroup (after duplicating the Automatic location under Network -> System Preferences).  Please help!Start Free Trial
