Im having an issue with Apple TV not working with iTunes when my MAC laptop is connected to the network via wireless to my Cisco Access Points. In iTunes the Apple TV should show up under the Devices heading when it is present on the network. Everything works fine when the laptop is direct connected to the network switch via an Ethernet cable however so the only thing I can conclude so far is that some setting in the Cisco wireless gear (Cisco 521 APs with a 526 Express Mobility Controller) is blocking the communication between the two or somehow preventing the two from working together. I believe it is the bonjour service that allows the communication but Im not entirely sure. Ive tried two different MAC laptops and both perform the same way when wirelessly connected. When hardwired to the same network everything works fine. Otherwise the wireless connection works fine for other purposes.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this to happen? Ive looked in the Cisco config and nothing jumps out at me. I thought maybe Wireless Client Separation was causing the issue but I dont see any settings for it in there.
