What is the most up to date browser for OS9.2? What is the latest version from Opera or Mozilla that works? I need download links!

Hello R7AF,

For OS9, Opera will work.  Firefox had not started when OS9 was being used.

All browsers available for MacOS versions before 10.2.x and especially before 10.0 are obsolete.

That being said, these (mainstream) browsers seem to be the latest available:

iCab 3.0.5 (http://www.icab.de/dl.php)
Mozilla 1.2.1 (http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/releases/mozilla1.2.1/)
Opera 6 (http://arc.opera.com/pub/opera/mac/603/en/)
IE5/Mac (http://browsers.evolt.org/?ie/mac/5.1.7_Classic)

I have found on OS9 that the newest version of Netscape Navigator (version 9.0.0.6 which was discontinued around 2003 when Firefox really took off) renders the best. You can find the download at www.oldversion.com/Netscape.html. It is a very similar experience to Firefox 1.5

I get a page not found error for all of those Netscape 9.x download links. Did they work for you?
