How To Delete and ReFormat a hard drive on an APPLE LAPTOP

hello,
I have a Apple iBook g3 laptop with an existing operating system installed.  However i want to delete it and give it a fresh install. (i have install discs)

How do i go about this? So far i went to disk utilities but dont know what to do next !! ;)))
