We cannot get RIM Desktop Manager 4.3 to recognize Blackberry Device in Windows XP SP2 in Leopard Fusion environment. Error says RIM driver cannot be found. Windows sees device, but not as Blackberry Smartphone.

Thank you for the response. We originally had 4.2, SP2 Installed. This problem occurred, so we uninstalled, rebooted, downloaded & installed Desktop Manager 4.3. Same issue. Momentarilly it showed up as the proper device, but the Desktop Manager could not see the Blackberry via usb. We unplugged the device, plugged it back in, then RIM Devive with no driver came back.
For anyone interested... we had to go to Device Manager. In device manager you should see "USB Device" Turn off Trusted Devices, then you'll see "RIM Composite Device". Then "browse for driver software on your computer" at the bottom of this window there is an option that says "let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer" Click on this link. Scroll down the list on the left until you get to "Research in Motion" on the right you will see "Blackberry Device" highlight it and click next. You will see a message pop up that says something along the lines of "installing this device driver is not recommended because windows can't verify that it is compatible with your hardware, etc." Click "Yes". The driver should install and you should get a message that states "Driver Software install successful"

Did you tried to uninstall and reinstall the desktop manager?
Normally this should not be a problem.
