After imaging macbooks via network, how to change UUID for each laptop.

Asked by REMAXRES in Leopard (MAC OS 10.5), Mac OS X, Apple Laptop

Tags: Apple, OS X, 10.5, reset uuid

We recently imaged approx 40 macbook laptops over a network via OS X Server. We have a pre-made image that we are using. We then joined all 40 macbooks to the domain and bound them to our windows 2003 Active Directory.

Our problem now is that only one notebook is able to log onto the domain at a time. Is there a specific reason for this. I was also thinking that we must change the built in UUID in the OS X operating system for each macbook. Please advise asap. thank you!Start Free Trial
