Hi There,
Am a bit of a MAC newbie so any advice would be appreciated!
Have recently purchased a MAC running version 10.5.2 for a designer to run on our Windows SBS 2003 network running exchange 2003. Have binded to our Acive Directory Domain with no issues. Can access all shares on the network, and ping the server, doesn't seem to be any connectivity issues.
However my main problem is connecting the Mail app to our Exchange. During the setup wizard after typing the Incoming mail server and outlook web access server names and clicking continue, i get the message "the Exchange server is not responding". I think the issue is with the way i'm typing the name. i've tried typing just the IP, i've tried \\192.168.x.x, I've tried typing just the FQDN, tried \\FQDN, tried smb://FQDN, tried smb://192.168.x.x etc. Just can't seem to get the server to respond.
Log on to the domain is also very slow, over a minute most times, but always gets there. Initially I thought the problem was having a local user account of the same name, as it would try to log on there first, and then to the domain. Have deleted the local account, but log on to the domain is still very slow. Any Ideas as to what is causing this?
Thanks in advance!
