Is this true? Is there anyway around Mac Server, its vs 10.5 (Leopard) Server 10.4 only speaks to 10.4 clients; 10.5 only speaks to 10.5 clients. That is a Apple thing, just like when a new Mac OS is released the Mac hardware that is also release shortly after the new OS (usually within a one to two months will only support the new OS, now older Mac hardware can run the new OS, as long as it meets the new OS's requirements. This has been an Apple standard for a long time!
Hi I am sure the one who told you was livin in the windows world as this doesent happens in mac world as i leave in mac world two as an system administrator. We have more than 20 mac users and most of them are on tiger as they dont want leopard and rest on leopard on client side on server we have mixed environment few sun solaris , fedora , windows and in particular to this issue two mac servers both leopard and its talking all fine with tiger which is old os than leopard so this perception is wrong. Dont worry !! Thanks Vish
