Operating system Leopard 10.5.3 when problem first surfaced. "New event" entries appeared in iCal and some appointments got moved to different hours. I installed the 10.5.4 update and restored from Time Machine the ~/Library/Calendars folder as well as ~/Library/Application Support/iCal/Source folder, to a date I was sure it was still correct. I also did a Calendar Backup so I can revert to it if needed. It was OK for a couple of hours then it happened again: "New event" entries and appointment shifted to different hours. I have no idea what to do next.
