I did that but it still auto loads the driver when I plug the printer back in
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI am running Mac OS X10.6 (Snow Leopard) and installed the HP Laserjet P1006 drivers (which don't yet work on 10.6).
I removed the driver from the printer page but when I plug the printer back in via USB, it automatically reinstalls the printer using the same driver. So there must be files somewhere. I looked under Library/Printers and there is nothing there relating to the HP P1006 after I deleted it so I am at a loss.
What I want is to plug the printer into the mac via usb and have the mac recognize it as new instead of reinstalling the driver i installed which only work on 10.5
Thanks in advance....

Hi
Try this:
* your harddrive
* library
* printers
* delete the HP 1006
Hope that helps.
