Need to find my Mac OSX product key??

I would appreciate it if I could get some help on this. I just bought a used Macbook pro. I was going to reinstall the os and realized that I don't have the product key. It is running osx 10.5. Is there a way to get this? I am fairly new to the mac world and haven't found anything. Thanks!

Macs don't use product keys. If you have the original install CD, just boot from it while holding down the c key.

I agree with strung, the OS X doesn't use a product key. To boot from the installation DVD simply mantain the C key pressed while booting, this should do to start up your Mac with the installation DVD and after that simply follow the installation instructions, it's quite simple.

I feel stupid for not knowing this but anyways thanks for the help. The only mac work I have done was with Mac server and it did require a product key. I just assumed that OSX was the same
