Win Vista Machine does not show MAC OSX or other Win PCs

Okay...

I have googled this for hours and search and searched...and searched. I have given up. Here is the situation:

I am working with two PCs:

-MacBook Pro OSx Leopard
-Windows Vista Ultimate

I know the Mac is setup correctly- i am able to see/share files back and forth with a Windows XP machine.

The Vista machine and Mac are both on the same network and same workgroup name. I can ping the Mac from the Vista machine. The Vista machine appears under the 'shared' menu dropdown on the Mac.

However,

I cannot connect to either one from either one.

Vista Ultimate PC:

Windows file and printer sharing is enabled (under exceptions in Windows Firewall).
Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated is selected under network security
No third party firewall software. Just symantec antivirus corporate edition

Any ideas???
