PowerBook G4 12-inch (1.33 GHz) optical drive

my PowerBook G4 12-inch (1.33 GHz) optical drive jammed an unread double layer dvd (un upgrade from 10.3 to 10.5).
I tryed all tricks to get it out unsuccessfully. Got it open and out.
Now it still tryes to eject a non existing cd non-stop from the minute the computer is on,
and it blocks any other cd from getting in.
In order to be able to use the computer, I disconected the drive so it would stop.
Is there any guide for me to get it back to work?
