CS3 files become corrupted when saved on server

Hi,

We recently started to experience problems when working with CS3 files off our fileserver.
Multi-layered files and large files intermittently become corrupted and rendered useless.
When trying to open a corrupted file the following error message comes up:

"This document has been damaged by a disk error. The most likely causes of this error are: a defective disk drive, a defective disk drive cable, or incorrect peripheral cable termination. Some of the pixels in this document may be invalid. Open anyway?"

We have around 10 Macs (10.5.3) connected to an X-Serve running 10.2.8 and we are intermittently seeing this issue on all of them.

The File server has been used for years without any problems. We recently replaced G5s (Panther) with MacPros (Leopard).
The MacPros has worked fine for a few months with the CS3 files on the file server.

We haven't had any problems when the files are stored on the computer's local HD.

I know that Adobe recommends that CS3 files are accessed locally.

The issue is also reported on AppleInsider:

We have run diagnostics on the server. The hardware seems to be ok.

Best Regards
