Directly to Exchange.
Yes, the 'Schedule' settings I was speaking of are as you said, Tools: Run Schedule: Edit Schedules.
Thanks

Browse All TopicsI have a user running Entourage 11.1.0 (2004) on Mac OS X 10.6 connecting across an MPLS to a Win Server 2003 Std SP2 running Exchange 2003.
My user is complaining about his emails coming in 'batches.' For example, all his emails from 8:37am to 11:03am will all come in at once at 11:03am. His timestamps are correct on the emails he receives, in other words they don't all come in saying they were received at 11:03am. His 'Schedule' settings are set to "Send & Receive All" every 3 minutes (and the box is checked to enable that schedule). He is not losing connection to the network, as he still accesses and uses database files and works with photoshop pictures on a consistent basis.
I just advised my user to try checking his mail in our OWA website as well as using Entourage and note the differences in receipt times so I can see if it is a problem with his mailbox or not. All otherwise I'm out of solutions... If anyone could advise something else to try/check it would be much appreciated!

Apparently the Entourage/Exchange synching is independent of the frequency set in the Entourage schedule settings. Those are only for IMAP and POP: http://blog.entourage.mvps
This corresponds to my experience as I do not have a schedule set, but get frequent automatic synchs with the Exchange Server.
Thank you all for your posts. The user is out today but I'll advise him of a few things you've suggested tomorrow.
@Vallis: His Send/Receive in Schedule is set to 3 minutes.
@Strung: The user isn't anywhere near the mailbox quota's. But after looking through his settings I noticed his LDAP server is set to dchk. I'll try changing this to the server hosting the GAL. I'll also suggest him to update it, as I see in the link you provided that SP2 will resolve some sync issues.
I'll post the results tomorrow after I follow-up with the user. I appreciate your comments.
