Fast User Switch and OS X Menu Bar
In System Preferences I've enabled Fast User Switch. That results in a new pulldown menu labeld with the current username in the OS X menu bar.
Now there is one user which misses this item in the menu bar.
I guess that there went something wrong in ~/Library/Preferences.
Does anyone how to fix this, or at least where to look for the corresponding setting?

The purpose of most is shown in the title - for example, Airport.menu will show wireless options and connection strength. If there is one that you aren't sure about, drag it to the menu like before. If you find out you don't like it, hold down the command key while dragging it off the menubar. You can use this same action (command-drag) to reposition menu bar elements.

Provided the correct checkbox is selected in the Accounts preferences it should be there - I'm not sure if this is a global setting or not. Have you checked this?
