Can I use OS X Server Open Directory 10.4.8 to mange Leopard machines?

Can I use OS X Server Open Directory 10.4.8 to mange Leopard machines? I setup the new 10.5.2 just as I would a tiger box to log in to OD to log in to active directory. The single sign on worked but thats about it. Nothing mounted or any of the doc stuff worked at all. Anyone know have any foresight on this topic
