Cannot Connect to Network share (Error 36)

Asked by fenety in Mac OS X, File Servers, Tiger (Mac OS 10.4)

Tags: Apple, Mac OS, 10.4.11

All of a sudden my 2 Mac's (OS 10.4.11) Cannot connect to Network shares.  I get an error:

The Finder cannot complete the operation because some of the data in smb://........ could not be read or written. (Error code -36).

In the console I get this error:

Mount - smbfs: Session setup phase failed Syserr = RPC struct is bad.

The only thing I can see that I changed was renaming one of the Mac's.  But the other one I left alone and it won't connect either.Start Free Trial
