Mac mail 2.1.3 not picking up LDAP.

Hi All,
I've recently switched from Entourage SMTP to Mac Mail IMAP (the mailbox sync was becoming a problem). Mac mail has a section under preferences for specifying LDAP server and settings. I've tried every possible combination of o=xxx.ou=xxx,dc=xxx etc but still can't pick up LDAP. Any ideas?
