MAC: Photoshop error when doing colour replacement

Hello,

One of my Mac users gets the following error in Photoshop periodically when trying to do a colour replacement:  "Could complete your request because of a program error".

She then clicks on OK and the error reappears, she clicks OK several times and then the error disappears and of course the colour doesn't get replaced.

The Mac in question is running OSX 10.4, it is an IMAC 7.1, with 2GB of Ram
