booting in mac

Hi
I have power book g4 with mac x and was working perfect.
I installed the yellow dog linux in and now when show me the boot loader dont do it nothing, is all the time waiting
The question is in windows when you want to format all, only we need to type fdik/mbr and the master boot record disappear then you can start again with what ever.In mac when you want to boot with the cd only we need to press c while the system is restarting but my problem is that now when i try to boot with cd doesnt work, dont show my nothing.

Hold down the option key when booting.

You should get a choice between loading from the hard drive or the cd.

but i know that for cdrom is holding c but any answer

try command-opt-p-r at boot to zap pram...do this for a couple of chimes and then try rebooting. If all goes well and you are then able to boot from CD, run the startup disk control panel and choose the mac os x partition. Once you have done that re-install/re-configure the linux bootloader

you can also try command-opt-shift-delete to try and force it to find a bootable partition other than the startup disk
