Everything in panther is freezing up aka the spinning wheel

Well everyone i have a question as to os 10.3.4. One of the employees here started to find that everything was crashing yesterday and we decided to run norton disk doctor this morning it found a bunch of error and a major error with the boot block it said the shell name was bad. So then again about an hour ago 1pm EST the machine started doing the same thing again. THis time disk doctor didnt fix it.
