David,
Wiping the drive is not necessary. OSX and OS9 can co-exist together in the same drive.

First of all, I’m a PURE pc user but recently I bought a second hand MAC G4 with OS9.1 Installed, but find out 9.1 does not support a lot of stuff and was thinking of upgrading to either 9.2 or 10, any suggestion?
And how do I do that? Is it as easy as upgrading win ME to win XP? Please guide me!

VERY IMPORTANT: FIRST - make sure that G4 doesn't need a bios update before upgrading/installing OS X. http://docs.info.apple.com
unless you know you want OS 9 (or need to learn to support it) i wouldn't dual-boot, just do a 'clean install' of OS X, b/c as noted above, you can always run a stray OS 9 app in 'virtual' mode.
about the install: if you have issues ,there are RAM quirks, PROM quirks, HD quirks, see here: http://discussions.info.ap
if you end up liking OS X, you can always add more RAM for performance, recommended.

Joey,
OSX Panther (10.3) would be your best bet. It's a beautiful operating system that's powerful, easy, and rock solid. I'd only recommend keeping OS9 if you have hardware that requires it (i.e. a printer or scanner).
OSX is a totally different OS than 9. Think of it as the difference between DOS and WinXP. OSX does support OS9 applications though its "Classic" environment, which emulates MacOS9 and allows older apps to run. It sounds tricky, but everything is automatic. I've never had a problem using the classic environment.
To do an install of OSX, you will need to wipe the drive. It's probably the easiest OS install you'll ever do. Just boot off the CD and follow the instructions.
Hope this helps,
David
