I tried Toast, but that didn't show anything more than the finder. I tried the Diskutility, and that showed the DVD-writer > Session 1 > cd-name. If I try df, I get a list of mounted filesystems, showing the cd, but only session 1. I know that Windows only shows the last session, so this is quite logical. I tried an Ubuntu-laptop, put the cd in, and that showed the Windows-session, not the Mac. So I got the programs, but still would like to know what's happening here.

What you have is basically a HYBRID CD .. with Mac and Windows sessions.
If you have software like TOAST Titanium or Dragon Burn .. these support Hybrid CDs and so should allow you to see both sessions.
I don't have a Hybrid CD here to test but you could also try opening terminal ... type df to get a list of mounted volumes.
THen browse to the second session on the CD if you can see it listed.
