How do I include contents of .cfm files in Spoltlight?

How do I get spotlight to index .cfm files.  .cfm files are coldfusion markup language files that are basically text files.  No matter what I do, nothing inside them gets indexed.

G'day,

Not sure, I've been looking for a file extension setting that will force spotlight to look in. with no luck.

But what about making a copy of the file to a different extension, like txt?

Spotlight uses meta-data to index files. Your .cfm files don't have meta-data - or Spotlight doesn't know how to read them. Apple provides instructions on how to write your meta-data importer, but I'm not sure if this is really worth the effort. Anyway, hope this helps:
