Ah, I had enabled protection on it at some point and because of that it wouldn't let me access the data portion of the drive. I'm going to format it anyways because the U3 junk is entirely worthless. Thanks.

Browse All TopicsI have a SanDisk Cruzer Micro 4 GB that I've been using for work (with Windows PCs, of course) for the past bit, and recently I bought a Mac Book Pro and am trying to figure out if there is a way to get it to work with it. The thumb drive comes with the "U3 system" that is only compatible with Windows, and unfortunately, as far as I know the U3 system has to boot before the data on the drive can be accessed. So when I mount the drive in OS X, the only thing I'm able to see are the three U3 files that initialize when ran in Windows.
I've seen posts from other Mac users with these drives, and I'm not sure if there's a way to even view the data through OS X, or to bypass U3 and mount the drive itself, but if anyone could point me in the right direction I'd be much appreciative.

Choose your USBdrive (make sure it is plugged in) and click on the tab Erase.
Choose the MSDOSformat (to make your files compatible with Windows) and then Erase. It will format your USBstick in FAT32-format, erasing the U3-system, and then I will be usable as a normal USB-stick
